Randy Waskul is the Global Director of Health, Safety and Environment for Birla Carbon. He is based at the Company headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Mr Waskul oversees the health, safety, environmental and product stewardship functional areas globally for Birla Carbon’s manufacturing locations and R&D centers.
Mr Waskul joined Birla Carbon in 2012. He is a founding member of Birla Carbon’s Sustainability Steering Committee, the Company’s representative on the International Carbon Black Association Board of Directors, and several regional charitable and industry organizations.
Prior to joining the carbon black business, Mr Waskul was Vice President, Innovation & Technology at Global Environmental, a consulting firm. Since the mid-nineties, Mr Waskul has held leadership roles in various multi-national manufacturing organizations, including Vice President, Environmental Services at Mohawk Industries, Inc. a leading floor covering manufacturer, and Vice President, Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality for Americas and Asia for Danisco A/S, a global food ingredient manufacturer.
Mr Waskul started his career as a civilian engineer with the United States Navy. Over his 30 years of experience in the health, safety, environmental and sustainability area, he has held positions of increasing responsibility.
Mr Waskul is a senior member at the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, Institute of Georgia Environmental Leadership, Class of 2008, and director of the Roman Open Charities, Inc.
Mr. Waskul holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of North Dakota.
